Weapon upgrades/attachments

Basically the idea is to make weapon upgrades and attachments available to be bought from the armory.

Upgrades would include additional ammo, increased fire rate, increased damage etc.

The attachments would include scopes (no not for pistols), red dot sights, silencers, laser beams etc.

These new opportunities would increase the effectiveness of the smaller weapons and make the bigger ones even more powerful and also would create a new enjoyable experience for the marines. Tell your opinions.

I'd hope global upgrades and overall tech level would be taken care of by the commander still. Even if this were not the case, these upgrades do not add anything "new", they're just more of the same(ammo,fire rate, dmg) or not very useful(scope, lazer or dot sight, silencer).

Also, search the forums for the many, many threads about attachments.

Silencers might actually help a bit, but most people prefer attachments that add extra functionality, like a mini grenade launcher on your machine guns.
