<div class="IPBDescription">Fewer anims ahead ^^^</div>According to an <a href="http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-02-23/japan-kodansha-reports-its-largest-annual-loss-ever" target="_blank">AnimeNewsNetowrk</a> news, there indications that the anim industry is starting to be affected by the world economic crisis. That is the second news I see about Japan's anim industry having problems.

Do you believe we will be heading into an anim production slowdown or freeze ?

Ironically, I'm a bit surprised. Entertainment tends to do well in depressions. Also, Japan is managing fairly well in comparison to most countries in this giant economy sink.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a slowdown. Anime has become much more than simple entertainment. Some projects cost more than modern live action movies.
