<div class="IPBDescription">...and tutorial videos!</div>Ok, first things first, I think we should really make it clear about some of these unspoken rules.
What I mean is, I'm afriad that when I buy NS2 that lots of noobs on the Alien team will go straight for the command chair in the beginning of the game, causing the marines to pretty much lose since they can't upgrade or anything. I think we should make it clear that they should destroy everything else BEFORE taking out the command chair, for a fair game. I'm sure that in tournament games (never played one) that this rule must be enforced or something, or skulks could easily rush (if their a good team) the Marine Start and take out the CC.
Actually, that's really the only one I can think of, but I'm sure others can think of something too. I know that destorying the command chair is fair game, and there is really nothing stopping a player from going after it (as I have seen some people attack it besides going for something else), except for the Marine team.
Also, I plan on making some tutorial videos showing how to use the command chair. If anyone has any tricks or tips for being a commander, then please post them!

I've always been under the impression that the CC had ridiculous amounts of HP just for that reason. You're SUPPOSED to take out the extremity buildings first (AA, Proto, obs, Arms, IPs) only because of the time you have before
a. A Marine spawns/phases in
b. A beacon is called
c. A Marine runs back
If an alien team successfully rushes the CC, they should win. It's the marine team's fault for improper base defense or foresight. Or lack of an obs. In anycase, there's a reason this doesn't occur that often (in pubs, anyway) because there are usually enough marines lying around in base to stave off the incoming rush and allow the others to get back. I'd say full fledged CC rushes work about 30% of the time, unless it's a clearly stacked alien team and all of the competent marine players left for double/whatever, in which case it's more around 80% and a forced relocation
This.
Also, the aliens will probably rush into a few marines before reaching MS, so the comm could warn the team.
I don't see how this is rude, if anything this shows what teamwork can do.
Damn it, now I just have.
Now you know what structure to build first in base.

or alternatively, drop 3 mine packs and keep 1-2 rines in base, that'd be fun, lol
but Radix's way is much more solid long-term, and WILL end the threat before it becomes a problem
Suggestion: Someone start a thread to get everyone on board for this (I sure as hell am not doing it)
Once you get a bunch of people on board... Edit your topic and start taking Hint suggestions and compiling a list of good ones.
Just try and keep them as ... rounded/default/generic as possible...
Also I pray that there will not be server images in the tab(scores) screen like on L4D and such. They lag.
