There is a class on StarCraft design and gameplay, using pro games from Koreans to illustrate high level strategy, being taught at the UC Berkeley (one of those nerdy-ish schools here in California of USA).

Major points include looking at design, balance, and complex game theory in the framework of StarCraft play. It is geared as an application of theoretical game theory on a practical (and well executed) game.
