engine licensing
i'm thinking about making a 4 player co-op puzzle / phyiscs based game (yes it will still have guns...) and seeing the twitter news items, makes be really amazed at how easily the LUA code is making it to implement weapons and functions.

so i'm wondering how easy it would be to say make a different theme and even different game?

would that require me to purchase a license? as its more of a total conversion?

I remember hearing in an audio cast that they would be making it so players would be allowed to create their own weapon models, audio and animations then be able to import it into the game with LUA so I think it will be very flexible. That being said with the puzzle elements it would be cool to see if someone could import the gravity gun from HL2 or the Portal Gun (not sure how easy the latter one would be).
