Classes?

Hi there, i am a long time waiting for ns2 (i am sure, i am not the only one *g*)
What do you think about classes for the marines?

But before you get mad, not weapons or something.
Just the Marine itself.

Before you spawn you can choose one class, if you mark a field, you will automaticly spawn with default class.

just 2 classes, thats it.

<u><b>examples, do explain what i mean</b></u>

1. <u><b>Class scout (or call it Female Soldier):</b></u>
Model: Black or White Woman Marine
HP: 85
Speed: 60
Armor: 85


2. <u><b>Class soldier (or call it Male Soldier):</b></u>
Model: Black or White Marine
HP: 100
Speed: 50
Armor: 100


<b>If one of this classes take heavy armor, it will change all properties to default.</b>
Maybe its all stupid, but its just a simple "idea".
Ya it can be totaly bullshi*t.

    Dunno about this idea. First, there should be male/female both scouts and soldiers. Second, how it's supposed to choose between the classes? If you select pre-game, how do you change ingame?

    Now, the idea itself. Well, yes. Rushers would love scouts and later-game would use soldiers. But imagine a fast HMG... So should be a weight limit too.

    First, I'd say lose the gender requirement. If you need to tell the scout class from the soldier class use a different visual indicator like slightly different armor/helmet.

    Next, NS1 used exclusively equipment on the marine side and NS2 seems to be continuing this tradition. Maybe certain weapons could have speed penalties and you could effect loadout that way.
