There are two teams so you either play as Survivor or as Suicider.

The goal for Survivors is to stay alive (duh!) and to spot the Suiciders before they can get close enough to you. They have the book “Gardening for Beginners” by Barbara Bush as a self-defence weapon.

The goal for Suiciders is to sneak up close enough to the Survivors so you can blow yourself up. Suiciders play as shrubberies in a map full of shrubberies thus blending in with the enviroment. If they dont move you dont know which one is being played by a player.

The game doesnt have a goal currently other then being simple team deathmatch. However its planned to transform it into a round-based survival with a time limit.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I don't know actually I haven't played it yet. I get ahead of myself sometimes. It's multiplayer though so the more suckers I convince to install this thing, especially people on my Steam friends list, the higher chance I'll get a chance to play with some people.

Come on let's do this! I like innovative stuff and this is slightly innovative. I like quirky stuff and this is quirkier than birkenstocks on a cat at Burning Man. I like plants, I guess and this has plants.

Hmm it could be fun, but also has potential to lack any depth and slide over into the realm of boringness...

Ah well, I'll download it tomorrow...

WARNING: There's only one server up right now since the mod has been out for like 4 hours. That server is Israeli and lags like nuts. It's laggier than trying to use Morse Code to transfer packets. I'd say wait about half a day or something for the mod to propogate if you don't live in Israel.

i played it for a little while, definitely tons of fun for about 15 minutes. would continue to be fun with friends and alltalk

Reminds me of that crate mod for HL1. Half the players were crates indistinguishable from inert crates scattered about the map.

I won't be downloading this though. The odds of finding enough people to play locally are slim to nil.

Interesting. This sounds very similar to the mod I am making.

Woo there's a few servers up and I got some playing in. Very fun mod. Ambushing gardeners is good, hurling books at plants is good. Laggy but other than that no complaints. Quite fun for a few hours at the very least.

Saw this on moddb, haven't had a chance to fiddle with it.

I'm still waiting for Dystopia v1.2 to finally get out.

Anyone tried DIPRIP yet?

I tried it (DIPRIP) It does not feel like a HL2 mod, not very much at least. It's fun for an hour or two. Gets boring quick though.
I'll be trying out this mod.
