Short screenplay/story

-The Last Treacle, part screenplay part story. Purpose of it is to get The Last Treacle to be made into an official map with the community's help. I can probably do the modeling (as I'm a 3d modeler), but I'm not a texture guru.

-TP4 is strictly a description of a possible map with no short story written for it yet. Purpose of it is get it made into an official map with the community's help.

I'll update the post with additional stories/map ideas as I flesh them out (I have ~13 rough ideas total).

The Last Treacle?

Treacle, normally speaking, is a sugary substance. However, it can also be used as a noun that symbolizes an extremely pleasurable environment. In the sense that I used it as a title, it's being used as a figurative name for an entertainment ship used for extravagant entertainment. By being classified as an entertainment ship, it is not named under normal naming conventions. Rather, it's named according to what its purpose is: to entertain.

The title is meant to be sentimental and nostalgic. The ship is supposed to convey the troops to another world, figuratively speaking.

More to the point, I don't understand what you're trying to do here - is this a map concept, an attempt to write backstory, a machinima? On the one hand the writing style doesn't look like backstory, but it has extra details that would be unnecessary for a map.

I don't see why people have to be so rude and un....what's the word, oh, grateful that at least someone tried. I see nothing wrong with his idea, and even would like it as a map as he preplanned. Your rudeness in the manner was A uncalled for, and B pointless, as a random picture of multiple things shows how degraded you are in your stature of maturity. Why not try doing better rather than insulting someone for their attempts of which you have no testicular fortitude to do yourself.

But off to that, it was a very good story, and hope to see it made a map when NS2TR come's around.

I can't read it because my Adobe Acrobat installation is screwed up I think. I'll have to reinstall it to read your story.

Don't think it's a bad idea. Rather, I think it's a great idea, and generally speaking if a mapper can think up a good storyline to go with the story, so long as it fits the natural selection universe, all the better. I sincerely doubt that the most creative and ingenuitive people on this planet got to be so because they surrounded themselves with harsh critics.

So do try to ignore the majority of the criticism on this forum. No statue has ever been erected in honor of a critic.
