Need help with Apache server

upload is 1/4th of what it should be..
Hey all,
I'm having a really weird problem with my web server.
I've recently setup an Apache web server at my house for personal use.
I've also setup a FileZilla FTP server on the same machine.
The server's connection is 20Mbps/5Mbps.
Whenever I download a file from my server over FTP, the speed is about 700KB/s. (What it should be)
Whenever I go through HTTP and download the file over the Apache web server, the speed is only ~150KB/s.
(I do understand the difference between KB/s and Kb/s.)
Can anyone help me with this? I'm new to Apache and I can't find anything about this anywhere.
Thanks if anyone can help,
