<div class="IPBDescription">i found it..</div>New life, job(s)[?], environment.. lots of nice distractions to keep me away, but I decided to resurrect this old map and finally finish it. It was a chore to get all the tools together, but I have finally finished the map in it's 11th revision that was never published.

This siege map was extensively playtested with the great people over at the I AM clan. Based off the poster child of siege maps, ns_siege007, Stormsiege contains the fundamentals and more. It is still to this day a great challenge to any player, and I invite server admins to try it out.

    Looks good and also seems familiar... Have we've seen screenshots of that second screenshot before on this forum?

    Nice work trimming it down a bit I have always liked your siege map and it always draws a crowd.


    bty fixing the imbalance might make it more stable being it tended to crash for me running 31 bots LOL

    Lol, yeah, re-release with full entities please.

    I haven't tried it, but it looks to be the best looking siege map yet. I really don't understand why people don't take the extra time to make siege maps pretty.

    Funny, I just read about this today. It was never a big issue until now.. I am keeping a list for the "last" version.

    We loaded it up on the <BAD> server and played it twice last night. The first try, about three minuets into the game, the server crashed but I don't think it was the fault of the map (You gotta love our servers by now)
    When we did get a full game in two maps later I was pleased with the map from the Alien perspective. The colors are soothing and fresh and the vents, omg, some of the vents are SO big! Bigger than some hallways on other maps.

    Not so sure about the balance. Aliens cleaned up the first room by the door in short order and just proceeded to Marine start for the win. WE seemed to have the advantage of additional RES the entire game. To be fair I have to say I had turned friendly fire on and there were some complaints that Marines were just screwing around shooting each other and the CC and stuff. I will vote for it again when it comes up.

    I wanted to mention about your zipped download, your res file should go into the maps folder. I am pretty sure it would not look for the res file in the root directory.

    well I am glad that it was specifically the map.

    there are a few hairs that might need straightening with stormsiege, but I will wait and let people play it for some time.

    Mind you, this map was made with NS game mechanics from 3/4 years ago in mind.
