please?
As a fellow independent game developer, I enjoy all the luxuries that affords me, namely a ham sandwich i brought from home and a water bottle I fill up here at the office.

But every week I look forward to hearing the trials and tribulations of my other favorite independent dev team, to bring a little mustard to my ham sandwich so to speak.

But these past two weeks I've been feeling quite forsook.

I know it's probably just because you're making tons of progress and want to wait till even more of it is done,
but we miss your musk Ron. er... Flara and crew.

I understand they're running NS2 as a scrum project, with a 30 day cycle. Podcats and news posts are tied to that cycle (after each cycle they should in theory have a chunk of finished work, which they may be able to tell us about). So don't go expecting news much more than once a month, it distracts them from doing the actual work.

    PS
Doesn't stop me checking the forum daily.

I guess this means there hasn't been anything exciting going on. Which is good. It means they're too busy working on NS2. Also, it means no disasters have hit, such as the server crashing or something.

So just chill out and give them time. I would rather they did few but important podcasts and not a lot of white noise podcasts. Well, they could do the latter, but I'll stop listening to them.

I don't know about the 30 day cycle, they seemed to have been on 14 days cycles previously. Regardless, as you said, they are working hard on the game and will tell us news when they have things they deem news worthy.

Maybe they could add a "currently working on..." section that was frequently updated with a list of generalities that wouldn't go into too much detail, but would show general status.

Updating something like that would take about 5 minutes, and would show the community that things are happening, and would allow for discussion that might stem from those broad topics.

Of course nothing like that is necessary.

One might think that after a big announcement like a new engine for ns2 they would have plenty to say about the project. I know honestly it would be amazing to see just one ingame screenshot of how ns looks right now on this new engine. Heres to waiting for another month to get a small nugget of ns2 information.
