<div class="IPBDescription">Old NS player wondering how NS2 is coming along</div>Hi everyone. First off I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I didn't see any post and I didn't see the pod cast. I was just wondering if the game is still under development and if so, what exactly are you guys up to? I really liked natural selection when I played it with the old engine and I'm looking forward to seeing it on source. The alien infection spread that I saw on one of the game sites looked pretty sweet.
Also if you guys would like a tester, I would like to help out <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> I love the aliens lol.

Yes, it is still under development.
How far? They have the background code setup and are working on gameplay elements and the artwork. Beyond that, you can try parsing through all the different podcasts/videocasts to get a feel of what's been happening.

But remember, they did alot of work on Decoda, and as shown in a Lionhead Games vidoc, you have to make tools to build things

I think that they'll be in the "concept phase" until the end. They seem to be working on discrete chunks of gameplay such as specific maps, commander interfaces, and abilities. They release a concept and then code and design most of it up. In other words it's a really short spiral development cycle.
Even better my newly created world is 50% pink (lots of sinister/haunted biodomes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />)
My own speculation is Q4 2008, but we'll have to wait and see.
