half-Life.wad:
If you don't have the HL1 CD (to get the half-life.wad from the pak files using pakexplorer), you can get it from the GCF files using GCFScape --> half-life.wad is in the root of half-life.gfc located in your "drive:\Steam\SteamApps"

Since I don't use quark, might I ask what gfx/pallette.lmp* is used for? I dun wanna do a google on it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

*
pallette.lmp is also located in the half-life.gfc btw
