<div class="IPBDescription">Help?</div>So whenever I try to come here firefox gives me an error message saying the server could not be found.
I tried in IE and a similar thing happens. Same thing for other computers.
If I turn on my college proxy though (the proxy server for my college) it works just fine. I only get the problem when I try to go straight to here without without hopping through the college network...
Any idea what the problem could be or more importantly, any advice to fix it?
My ISP is Comcast, if that matters.

I just did a traceroute, it managed to get to the server so I tried without the proxy and it's working now. Very weird. Thanks anyways. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
And thanks to anyone that thought to, but refrained from, making a joke relating to "it's cause you missed an n". <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
The tracert and nslookup didn't really tell anything interesting, but here they are:
Edit: Try this <a href="http://70.84.64.218/" target="_blank">link</a> (uses unknownworlds.com's IP address, rather than the domain name). Does that work?

that would be my thought.
if the IP works and the URL does not, then ###### out your ISP for having a shoddy DNS, or just go use a free one.
And now it does, but it seems sort of odd... Though the nslookup looks like that for everything (google.com, facebook.com) just with their respective IP and domain ni the "Non-authoritative answer" portion... The first part is the same for all.
192.168.15.1 is the address of my router, if that matters.
unknownworlds... 2 n's <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

that would be 3 "n"s btw.
so yah, next time it stops working, try getting in via the IP directly.

Just add in extra n's in case you forget. unknonwnwnonrlds.cnonm
My nslookup looks like yours does, only with a server name in my case (and of course a different server IP), and without "can't find server name etc." and "default servers are not available."
In short, looks like you had DNS trouble. As a stopgap measure, substitute the IP for the domain name (though you'll also have to do that for every link you follow - good luck posting anything that way). As mentioned before, DNS trouble is often temporary, so the problem might get resolved soon. If it persists, contact your ISP or network administrator, as the problem seems to be on their end.
Edit: Working on a possible better stopgap measure, stand by.
My school proxy has been resolving fine the whole time so it's an effective "stopgap solution". Thanks for the info guys, if this keeps happening I guess I get to call comcast. :/

I won't be any more specific than that. It involves mucking about with system files. Either do it if you know how, Google your way to a guide ("hosts <operating system>" should work) or let it be. Apart from my other advice, that's all I can do for you, I'm afraid.
