When NS2 is released will anyone care?

Let me start out by saying that I was a big fan of the first game, and I really hope that we see NS2 soon.
However, the development of this game looks to be in the very early stages, and with a pretty small team of people working on it.
If NS2 ships in the year 2010, will anyone still be following it? And a bigger question for the developers is will anyone <b>buy</b> it.

What you're really asking is will the game be any good. The devs made a very good game with NS1, and now they're making a new one. If they make it as well as they did the first, people will care. I believe that they will, but no one will know for sure until NS2 is done.
