Exectuatable is out of date..
What does "exectacutable is out of date" mean? and are there any patches or anything i need before i play cause it wont let me.. it says "can not connect to a server running on a different protocal.
If it says "executable out of date" it means you're not running the latest version of Half-Life. You'll need to update to version 1.1.1.0 by downloading the full patch (works for all versions) either here at Gameplanet, here at FilePlanet, here at Computer Games Online, or at any number of other websites. Just be sure to uninstall Natural Selection before you update, but once it's updated you can reinstall it.
"Cannot connect to a server running on a different protocol" simply means that you can't connect to the server because you're running a different version of Half-Life.
the problem is im running it off CS retail.. i dont have hl....so should i just update cs? i know it works my friend did it but he didn't have problems....
Well, it's stickied in this forum right above this post. here
yse download the retail cs patch. i have the platinum half-life but since i beat all the one-player games i just have cs installed. so all u gotta do is dl the latest version of cs. which is 1.6 for mod and 1.0.0.6 for retail. 1.1.1.0 is for regular half-life.
my fualt. i think the most updated is 1.5. although im not really sure. there hasnt been a new update in some time, so i havnt had to think about it. sorry if i confused you. :o)

If that doesn't work, post again here.
