Alien commander is starting to worry me...

I really like the idea of an Alien Commander. But the thing that worries me is that it will be implemted in normal ns mode.

I would like to see Alien Commander vs. Marine Commander style but I also want the old Aliens work together vs Marine Commander.

Anyone else think they should have the classic ns_ mode along with a new mode with the alien commander?

Or possibly a 3rd mode similar to co_ but with an alien commander instead of marine commander?

the devs have already stated that there will be only 1 mode when ns2 is released. however, they also stated that if a 3rd party wants to make a different mode (classic, combat, siege etc) then they can easly do it using LUA.

if it worries you that much, then start practising with LUA now, so you can whip out you're own custom version when its released.....

Usually somone comes along and mods the game to make something unusual so i dont thing a alien commander is out of NS2 completely. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Since it is done in LUA, if the community is not satisfied with normal gameplay, it can easily be adjusted to be anything. If others agree with you when it comes out, there's bound to be an alternate gamemode.
