Will NS2 have it?
Are you planning on adding developer commentary to NS2? I'm asking because I enjoyed hearing about what went into EP2, TF2 and Portal. It would be a good addition for people who don't download the podcasts for whatever reasons, but are still interested in the behind-the-scenes stuff in the game.

Yeah we've talked about this and are hoping to include it. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't include it in v1.0 though, so it doesn't hold it up.

well aren't the pod casts more or less a dev commentary anyways?

after being around for all of the podcasts in not sure i'd bother listening to it - atleast not until about a month of serious NS2 playing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Hmm you make a fair point. I'd rather have regular, more frequent logging of progression throughout development is better than nifty spinning conversation models for commentary. (not that I didn't like them, but I'd like progressional updates more than concluding commentaries) This is especially true I think for those like me who have always been temped to join the game development industry.

I was suggesting it more for the benefit of people who don't download the podcasts for whatever reason. For example; some people may never have heard of NS until NS2's release and after playing it for a while, may want to see what went into it.
