    Smokers need to play the "addict" angle a little more. Heroin addicts and such are often seen as unfortunate victims who gave in to the temptation once and are now stuck in an endless cycle of drugs and more drugs. Smokers are essentially the same, but are vilified and portrayed as agitators. They really need to work on that.

    Not over here. Heroin addicts are viewed as degenerate junkies lacking in self control. Not too dissimilar from smokers.

    I never smoke inside without express permission from the owner of the building, I wouldn't light up in a bathroom ever and if some ######er sprayed me with a fire extinguisher he best be running afterwards because I would break the nossle off of that ######, shove the tube up his ass and push down on that handle.

    Or at the very least beat him with it.

    Yet for the people that died, it does not really matter.

    I don't mind the smoking, it's the carcinogenic chemicals you spit in my face that annoy me. What gives you the right to decide that I need some lung cancer?

    Like I said, I would ask for express permission. Before I light a ciggarette I ask the home owner or whatever he/she is if it's okay or if they smoke. I don't bust up in some guy's house I don't know and light up a cig. If I need one I can easily excuse myself and walk outside to blow smoke. Most smokers have this attitude towards it. I know if I am around a new person and I need a smoke I always ask them first if it's alright. If he says no then no is no and I'll wander outdoors to light a cig. On top of that if I am inside a house with a smoker and he or she has a child, I will not ######ing smoke indoors. Even if they give me ######ing permission, because I got ######ed up from my father smoking when I was a kid and I would not wish this ###### on any person. Not to mention I don't even smoke in my own god damned house so the likelyhood of catching me in your bathroom lighting one up isn't even remote, it's ######ing impossible.

    BTW is that third sentence directed at me? Because that's pretty rude man, threatening me and stuff. You cut me man, you cut me deep.

    Of course, if we hate smokers and smoking with such fiery passion, we could always go after the tobacco companies. But I guess we're afraid of people who are not afraid to hit back AND have the means to do so. Bullying smokers is much easier.

    I smoked two packs / day for 30 years before I quit, cold turkey, in '94.

    How to beat smoking? Just stop... drink copious amounts of water, chew gum, toothpicks, hard candy.
