With the exception of Episode III, the PSO games themselves are simple hack and slash type role-playing games where the player slays monsters, levels up, buys new equipment, etc. The online Phantasy Stars differ from the previous games of the series by offering a real-time -- rather than turn-based -- approach to combat and seamlessly integrating this with the exploration/plot development aspects of the game.

TLDR: It's like Diablo only without the clickclickclick and there are lasers. PEW! PEW! PEW!
It's that time again. PSO time! Only this time we've got a private server, with admins who claim to actually do something about cheaters, and extra quests. Oh, and did I mention that it's free? Because it is.
How to play: Follow the instructions on this page.
Hope to see a few familiar faces online!

The official servers are free right now (but only for people who already had accounts) and will go offline forever in a month or two. I also ran this by a mod before I posted it so any wannabe spoilsports can go cut themselves or something.

It's PSO, so... no.
Gem would probably play with us if she was around.
Oh what the hell, it said people can join this quest mid-play. Typo or a bug, I guess. I'll meet you in the lobby.
Game Crashed....
When it's free and nostalgic, I can't complain.
If I weren't at university I'd be on this faster than a FOnewm running to the corner to spew level 30 RAfoie at everything that moves.
check out schthack... private server. you'll be able to keep playing long after sega shuts their servers off (which is probably very soon eh??)

Say whatever you want. You'll always come crawling back in the end.
Decked out with a Chao Stick and level 30 techs he was pretty explosive too!

Humar. I always go Humar - Rangers are boring and Forces are silly. No Rares yet, though. Not even a DB's Saber.
Barn owls and Swiftlets do.
You should play more often. Me and Redford have gotten far, far ahead of you. And don't use the forums to announce when you're on - that never works. Get on IRC or something.
I'll join up every now and then to see if you guys are on.
