Bug

Moving /w Cloak
To punish the marines for stacking the teams for the entire game, I decided to cloak on some random ceiling while I wait for their seige turrets to do their dirty work. There were still three sensory chambers so I was fully invisible.

Many marines passed by me, looking very tasty, until all our base are belong to them. I stayed completly cloaked even though the last of the sensory chambers were destoryed, but this is not the bug I found.

I decided that the marines adaquatly punished after they searched for me for about fifteen minutes. A particularly tasty marine named "blah?" walked by. I jumped down and ate him and noticed that my teeth were till semi-transparent, but shruged it off.

Anyway, enough dramatization. I ran around and killed about five marines, until they eventually got enough stray bullets into me. They claimed that I was completly invisible the entire time.

Holy damn.. its a small world isn't it.. And what.. I looked that tastey? Just cuz i was the commander...

Anywho.. I commanded. It ended up as being a terribly long game.. a war of atrition.. anywho.. we won out. cleared the hive, and I guess the aliens got smart and camped teh hive as it got blown up. We seiged it to bits and ended up w 2 aliens lost on the map. Well.. since the hive was gone we all started patroling for the lone skulk. Nothign on radar, just the occasional marine dying. The game woudlnt' come to an end so silly mr. gunslinger requested that I go knife fight him. We'll.. me being the good person, went to him. I don't rmebmer the map.. but i believe he came from teh gront but he was totaly cloaked. I got mutilated but a buddy sprayed him to bits.

He was tottaly cloaked as he tore me apart. it was quite weird. Anywho.. jsut wanted to chip in since my **obscenity** being tasty was mentioned. gg and to the creaters of the mod, amazing game. (just balance the teams... marines need at least an one man advantage if they hope to take on some skilled aliens. ) -blah?

BTW: you talk about satcking but that was one of the rare games that it stacked in favour of the marines. Last bazillion rounds,(and all rounds i played today) everyone goes aliens (esp experienced ppl). they rush the hell outta the marines and.. well the newbs get frustrated and run to the enemy side.. (there was one particular 11yr old who was hollerig like he was the king of the world after he messed up commanding and ran off to the alien side) no one balances and it gets sad.. ypu yup . balance needs to be preserved.

I've seen that before from both sides.

Been a Marine, and killed a damn-near invisible Skulk trying to chew up my light-armoured comrade.

Been a Skulk, and chewed up a light-armoured Marine.

Both times, the Kharaa was cloaked and attacking. Not just moving, attacking. The one I saw must have only had Level2 cloak, because I could see the faint outline to hit it. But I way Level3 cloaked - and not a single bullet was fired.

Bah! That's nothing, ph33r my invisible Onos!

This happened on friday but I haven't gotten around registering untill today. We were playing a 8vs8 game and had just aquired the third hive and built three sensory chambers. Almost immediately after the final chamber was finished (something like 30-40) seconds the marine siege turrets open fire and completely destroy our hive. Fortunately, I had had the time to evolve into an Onos and I had cloak...

Suffice to say that after I had killed 30-40 marines in 20 minutes somebody dragged the admin in and threatened to kick me if I didn't suicide. Fun spoiling buggers...

I know I was being naughty but ask yourself: could you resist the siren call of the invisible, regenerating adrenaline boosted Onos?

Yes, I've heard of this one too. On my server, it seems that the longer you sit still with cloaking, the longer you cloak when moving. This effect does not last very long, at most several seconds, but it's long enough to tear a squad to pieces.
