Squads:
I was thinking that squads might be more affective if it was a player option as well as commander suggestible.

For example you might allow marines to form their own squads that would then allow them to communicate with each other more directly while allowing the commander to select them for tasks.

The commander would also be allowed to select his own squads to which players could then choose to join or deny the request. Those in squads could have some added benefit which will encourage the use of squads.

It might also be interesting have function based squads like Base Builders, Scouts, Assault, etc… it might require giving special abilities to each of the respective squads but I’m not sure how effective it would be.

Camera Views:
It would be cool if in a squad mode you could open up a camera view (think small box not full screen) from one of your other squad members so that you could see their location/assist. The squad member being watched could have an indicator showing who is currently connected to his camera.

Weapon loadouts are going to be at least partially selectable by marines. If you mess with that by having the comm select discrete classes then it's more of a step backwards. I like that you're thinking of teamplay though.

The camera seems like it would be cool as a novelty but I use the minimap and map key a lot all ready which gives me information from all marines. I personally would not choose the perspective of one marine when I can watch the whole map.

I would just be happy if they streamlined the menu. The choices I make 99% of the time require going to the outer most box. Why?

    I wouldn't mind an "over-the-shoulder" view like in RE4; at least as an option for players instead of a mandatory perspective... but that's just me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
