Stalemate.

Gasp. *yawn*
Twice last night I joined a game-in-progress. Both instances were the same. A stalemate. The aliens had 3 hives and the marines had all their upper level stuff. Aliens had plastered the entire map with turrets and def chambers. Marines had nothing outside of their own spawn.

Now, the marines build about 8 Seige Turrets. This made the game a living hell because of several problems. Firstly, the seige turret spam was not hurting buildings, but instead the splash damage was radiating from our buildings and vaporizing any attempt to assault the base. Secondly, Onos gets stuck in the map EVERY SINGLE TIME. It gets stuck on the elevators, on ladders, and because of all the splash damage spam, all the Onos's would be have to be stuck on the elevator or on the ladder or in an alien building and be unable to storm the base, or they would be in the back and be killed by seige turret spam. The marines couldn't leave their base, but they were keeping us out of it.

This made for an unenjoyable game. Nothing could be done for a few reasons. One, Bile Bomb dosen't hurt structures. So we can't get RID of the turrets without getting IN the base, which we couldn't do due to the other previously listed reasons.

If there were a way for aliens to recycle or just destroy their buildings it would be helpful. We could get rid of the buildings that were making splash damage provide for an assault to be possible.

Secondly, Xenocide dosen't hurt buildings. We tried it, we killed a few marines, buildings stayed intact. I launched a few acid rockets from the vents and killed a few marines, but was grenaded to death, and they welded it shut afterwards. The game goes nowhere from this point.

Please tell me that Onos-stuck-in-the-freakin-map bugs will be fixed? The blinking bugs are prevalent as well and as I finally figured out how to blink right, I always end up stuck in something. Thats 50 RPs gone right there. 76 if you're a Onos. Even a "stuck" command in the console to verify stuckness, kill, respawn, and refund the RPs you lost from being stuck would be good.

Next game had approximately 20 Seige turrets spread throughout the level not doing a damn thing but making it impossible to move forward and end it. Limits are needed, IMO. Lower the range of seige turrets and give them a lower up-down range than the normal sentries? Increase the price? Make 1 turret per Advanced Turret factory limit? Or place a time limit on maps and other victory conditions so this can't be repeated? Just some ideas.

Both the servers DID have the 1.01 patch.

if they weren't bugged siege turrets would destroy the chambers quickly, allowing you to pass and destroy the marine base

i agree that getting stuck everywhere is very annoying. you could try evolving to onos very close to the enemy, that somewhat lessens the chance of getting stuck on the way

or just use a fade, it pwnz onos in 1.01
