Alien Environment

<div class="IPBDescription">Consider this idea</div>i'm chillin at work, and i just thought of something. I noticed you had the dynamic environment thing going on for the aliens. Maybe you can include some sort of level of protection for highly infested areas by the aliens. If there is a certain amount of that wierd gook ###### in a certain area, then maybe little A.I. controlled skulks will spawn and patrol the area, or some kind of danger involved in entering that zone. Just a thought. Any kind of environmental danger for the aliens would be badass. Give the marines a reason for not entering.

Or within all the alien 'creep' you could have free defense chambers sprout from the gook. OR little bulbs that have A.I. skulks pop out and patrol, (as mentioned above).. it would be nice.. i like the idea about the lights going out in a room when a certain amount of alien infestation of taken over the room, that sounds kool. Or if the room is so infested to the point as to where marines need to weld the doors open. That would be kool.


Plus, we need more vents, underground pathways, (alien only pathways) i guess you could say, we need more of that. More places for aliens to come out and screw the hell outa marines in NS maps.. mwahaha

    I don't know about AI Skulks, but it's been suggested (by the devs, even?) that any area that's covered by the infestation would get the electricity cut away, disabling all lifts and doors aswell as shutting down all lights. Combine that with the natural color of the lifeforms they'll get a degree of camouflage while on the infestation that has an identical color pattern, you get a pretty hostile enviroment to marines, I would think so.

    in a normal game, the LAN PARTY have a NS (classic) maps, and the kharaa <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skulk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::skulk::" border="0" alt="skulk.gif" /> comes out from the vent, the rine <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/marine.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::marine::" border="0" alt="marine.gif" /> player is totally scared out hell <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> and says bad words repeatly. more vent ? more screams ? more ? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> good idea, plus more reality added by all the air - cooling system coded to the buildings.

    One thing a noob like me worries about: not being able to see at all.

    Aliens don't have flashlights.

    If there was... oh say... an alternate vision mode... like... heat-seeing vision... then I'd feel safer when crawlin around in vents.

    Also, if the lights are down, a marine player could use the burning DI he just flamethrowered as a light source.

    PLus, it'd mess up that heat vision idea I just talked about. So the marines would have a really good reason to start burning up the DI.
