Very cool overall. The suit functions are a little gimmicky tbh - they want you to think there's multiple ways to approach a situation, but really, if you try to use your strength or speed for anything in combat, you're going to die, plain and simple.

With speed I might agree but strength was more then useful. Can't remember how many 4-6 man patrols I have taken out by sneaking up behind them, grabbing the last enemy with strength, then throwing him through everyone else like bowling. The rest arn't even just knocked out, it acts like a chain effect, when one dies from a strength throw, everyone he touches dies aswell. Also breaking buildings while koreans gather inside, not even to mention stealth kills.

Which makes it sound like a bad thing, but their only crime here is having the story end too abrubtly, and really, nobody plays Crysis for the story.

it's true - for the amount of polish in the game, an abrupt ending is forgivable. Since so much work went into creating the engine and stuff though, it will be a bit of a crime if expansions are a full $50 or $60... since they went through so much trouble to make designing content as easy as possible with the toolkit they created.

They're not going to be expansions. It's planned as a trilogy, meaning two actual sequels.

Each on new, equally groundbreaking engines.

Or more likely a better version of the existing engine. The game reminded a lot of Halo, especially once the real invasion started, what with you being a super-suited death machine amongst an army of squishy marines and all. Except that you were fighting equally squishy Koreans. In fact, there's one or two features which Crysis would do well to appropriate from Halo; I was annoyed that my allies didn't jump in my Humvee with me for instance. The ability to switch guns with the grunts would be cool too. Some kind of squad control system so you're actually leading some guys into battle rather than just fighting in the same vicinity as them too.

These aren't critisisms; I realise one game can only contain so much awesome, but these are the sort of things I expect to see added in a sequel. I don't want a whole new engine. I want more Crysis. As soon as possible.

I was sad at being limited to 2 main weapons at any one time <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" /> I always carried an assault rifle/smg and a sniping weapon, and was sad that I couldn't also carry the shotgun or minigun. minigun kinda blew though. the spinup kinda ruined it. not bad if you ambushed a buncha guys in the open though.

Im happy someone else bumped this so I didn't have to. I played this just a few weeks ago and was totally impressed. I mean, seriously, wow.
I think Ill list some of my favorite things:
-Trees breaking where you shoot them. I laughed in joy when I noticed this.
-Houses collapsing so completely, again, AWESOME
-Graphics are just beautiful
-AI was very good, being surrounded by the Koreans if you stood still too long, so intense.
-Map editor made me joygasm

Things I didn't like:
-Aliens. They were boring to fight.
-Ice areas: Not as cool as the jungle
-Lame final boss fight.
-Escort mission......

so, here is where I am confused.

That was all stuff that was in the demo (I think) , and I never saw the AI act like that.

sure, they are not the sharpest tool in the shed sometimes, but nothing THAT bad....

yeah, I actually thought the AI was awesome most of the time, which is why I found the video so funny. I think it may have been from the pre-release demo so maybe they were still working out kinks in the AI. or maybe cheats were used.
