I doubt it. It doesn't look THAT impressive.
That's what she said...
But hey, Chrisis is one of the games, about which you can safely say:
If you buy the most expensive hardware the day chrisis gets released you will be able to play it maxed out!
Haha you are sadly wrong my friend, i have 1300 posts on the www.crysis-online.com forums, i know what i am talking about when i say anything about crysis.
It will of course be a nice thing to have when we have more FSB speed (twice or more) and DDR3 is the standard.
Wait, you come here and ask people if a certain system can run chrysis maxed out.
But when someone gives you an answer you dont like you tell em they are wrong, because you know soooo much about chrysis.
So, in theory you should be able to answer your initial question yourself!

braveheart: Post count isn't everything.
So ehm... postcount++
You have 1300 posts on some silly forum and THEM makes games, PROGRAMS games, WRITES CODE THAT DEALS WITH HOW GAMES RUN ON HARDWARE, for a living, at Valve, one of the top game designers in the world. And he has >2.5K posts here. And gigantic muscles. And he rides a motorcycle. Yeah, I think I know who I'm going to trust.
Except Star Wars, where my knowledge is unrivalled.

Sadly, Stickman's lack of knowledge extends so far that he doesn't even know how limited his Star Wars knowledge is. He thinks he knows everything there is to know, which says more about how much he knows than about how much there is to know.
Which just goes to show post count doesn't mean anything. Just look at me, for instance.
So true.
What really matters are those little Icons under your avatar!
I think that if you don't see the point in buying something, don't buy it. If you want to build a computer to play Crysis, you should wait for Crysis to come out, then look at benchmarks and figure it out from there.
(The thing I always hated about getting the latest hardware is that a few months later it will cost less and there will be something better, maybe you should wait until eight core processors come out...)
I have over 10,000 here... and I can't remember much about Natural-Selection.
Furthermore, the engine is even more module-based than the Source engine, and they say it should continue to be cutting edge for up to 4 years at least, and I don't doubt it one bit. While these guys certainly need to work on gameplay some more, engine wise its probably more than anyone could touch.
