I was rummaging through my computer, as I oft do, and I stumbled upon something of interest.

It's a screenshot of the forum topics circa June 14th, 2005. It's capture is significant because Cyndane had posted in practically all the topics within a few minutes time.

This second image is an edit by yours truly to poke fun at Caboose in a similar fashion due to his similarly precocious posting preferences.

Why the dates are in the wrong chronological order I don't know. (Cyndane's is the 14th and Caboose's the 3rd. But I'm sure there are very good reasons for that.)

In any case, I just thought everyone might be interested in seeing what we were all talking about in OT back in 2005. A little trip down memory lane, I suppose you could say.

    Wow, I remember that laptop, too. There was no battery, and it was slow as hell.

    I miss the old days. There was always something going on in OT. Now the constanst hustle and bustle of SA keeps me away from here a lot.

    In truth it's because the forum was down for LIKE A YEAR!

    I'm amazed that so many of us came back at all, but not everyone made it back. A good deal of the randoms or semi-regulars are gone and that cuts down on opinions and conversation a good deal.

    And we're unlikely to get new members because Natural Selection was released a loooong time ago and has kind of passed it's prime recruitment time.

    Essentially two different things are going to happen to us and to these forums, either:

    a. Natural Selection 2 is released as a smashing success, drawing huge crowds of people into the forums for many joyful years to come, revitalizing both OT and the general forums with a life not seen since the days of old.

    or

    b. We die a slow death, with members drifting away until the site eventually closes.

    I'm guessing they've changed the setting since then.

    I think you're confusing spam with posting in multiple threads within a limited period of time.

    Actually not. Posting for the sole purpose of increasing post count or posting "X" number of times in a certain time frame is spam, no matter how many threads it's done in.
