I like music so obscure that I generally just listen to tape recordings of me yelling and banging pots.

It's the only way to know that I'm the only person that likes the bands I listen to.

No, that's just your complete lack of the ability to infer based on the set of facts presented to you.

I don't have any favorite bands, really. I guess the closest match would be Breaking Benjamin, Flogging Molly, and The Beatles, but mostly I only like 2-3 songs from an entire band's discography.

I tend to listen to non-English music (far from exclusively, just more than anyone else I know). It's mostly German, but there's some Russian and recently acquired Czech music in there too (Chinasky for the win). Plenty of English music too (since German and English are the only two I can readily understand, and occasionally some Russian and due to recent language acquisition: some Czech); usually the English music isn't what I'd call pop music though, because I tend to not listen to the radio, so I don't know what all the 'hip youngsters' are listening to.

Although I did like a song on MLB2k7 by the Thermals...unfortunately most of the other music I heard by them was pretty bad, but there were like 5 or 6 decent songs in there (...out of the 3 CDs I looked at).

Anyway, the major foreign bands I listen to, if anyone wants to check them out:
    Die Ärzte
    Die Toten Hosen
    Wir sind Helden
    Juli
    Rammstein (some of it's okay)
    Nena (some of it's okay...)
Wise Guys (a pair of songs in a capella never hurt)
Вирус (Virus) (...although I have it from a while ago and the techno with lyrics is only mildly interesting now - it's also like 10 years old now)

Does anyone know the German song that was sort of the theme for one of the Olympics? I can never remember that guy and I kinda liked that song...

    Also: Minibosses ftw.

Okay fine, I do subscribe. But only to Die Ärzte. They're the only ones that deserve brand loyalty. The rest will have to keep selling their individual products to me.

the whole point of internet forums is for people to have the freedom to listen to themselves talk while under the illusion that other people care what they have to say. It is a corollary to John Gabriel's Greater Internet ****wad Theory.
