<div class="IPBDescription">(Really old Windows games)</div>Chips Quest?

You know, the cute little game with wacky sircus music about a tiny fellow collecting chips, pushing crates into water, dodging fireballs, spiders and flesheating plants? No? Allow me to refresh your memory!

<img src="http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s254/Mats_photo/Chip1.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

How about Rattler Snake? A really awesome Snake where you control a new species of snakes who prefer apples over other creatures?!

<img src="http://i154.photobucket.com/albums/s254/Mats_photo/SNake.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Now lets discuss and talk or post screenshots of old awesome games liks Skifree, pipe dream etc.

    I don't think there are many people that played this, but is there anyone here who remembers ZZT:

    <img src="http://www.chocobo.org/~butz/images/town.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    It was one of Epic's first games, you can still order it from some <a href="http://www.epicclassics.com/orderform.html" target="_blank">Epic Classics</a> site, but that would be a waste of money since Epic released it for free a while back. It was one of the first games with a full SDK including its own OOP scripting language, and it was my first foray into game design.

    first game I ever personally purchased: <a href="http://www.vintage-sierra.com/gobs/gob3.php" target="_blank">http://www.vintage-sierra.com/gobs/gob3.php</a>
    <img src="http://aaargh.gameplanet.cz/screen/13/660.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />
    oh gob quest, great game.

    prior to that I don't remember the title of the games I used to play. One of them was a platform jumping thing - you were a robot who had to collect ballons. There were various spring boards and things to aid you.

    I definately remember playing snake.

    I'm probably not old enough for the *really* vintage gaming.

    omg chips quest, i so took the code editing tool we had at school and turned it into 'chips trip', editing all the sprites to drug-related items. Instead of chips, you hunted some cigaretteish shaped objects >.> lol (hey qbasic class was boring and rednecks take hours to make circles in it. They had a few games and chips quest was one of them, and anyone who knows me, i like to play with how things work <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />)

    Along with it, the computer had windows 98, i changed the shutdown screen from 'your computer is now shutting down' to 'now uploading virus...._' then from 'your computer is now safe to shut off' to 'Virus now uploaded'. Teacher about ###### a brick when she saw it hahahaha

    wonder if the teacher ever found my chips trip hahaha

    ZZT FTW! My friend gave me that game on a floppy disk back in the day.

    How about lemmings? Arguably the best game ever made.

    Does anyone remember hover? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

    I think it only came on the microsoft Plus CD

    <img src="http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/1145/hovernttk5.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    The aim is to collect more flags in a big maze than the computer controlled hover<b>cars</b>.

    The games that ended my life. After this point, I belonged to the IT industry....

    Citadel (though pretty much anything by Superior Software was destined to be amazing)
    <img src="http://www.bbcmicrogames.com/screenshots/citadel1.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    Exile (This game was CRAZY difficult)
    <img src="http://www.bbcmicrogames.com/screenshots/exile-pic2.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    Knightlore, isometric was cool!
    <img src="http://www.bbcmicrogames.com/screenshots/knightlore.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    The glory of Castle Quest....
    <img src="http://www.bbcmicrogames.com/screenshots/castle-quest1.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    Granny's Garden (Which scared the **** out of me, at the time!
    <img src="http://www.bbcmicrogames.com/screenshots/granny1.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    And of course, Elite

    The first game I ever played, ever was LORD (Legend of the Red Dragon) My brother had it on a BBS on his computer and I used to waste away the hours playing this text based RPG like game. Oh the old days. Okay, I may have had an Atari before the computer, but I was too young to remember that console.
