<div class="IPBDescription">think furnace, cat walk, alien 3, and corys concept art.</div>I have been toying with a lead works or metal factory for quite some time, T2, alien 3 the industrial rusty rugged feel, basicly with 3 cooling towers, a scrap yard some sort of convayer belt, and a molding unit. Well the basic lay out is there. It also required a top lvl workers area and a industrial maintiance area, as well as a exsternal guard post/cargo for loading vehicals and gearing up before entering the smelter.

Corys concept art got me buzzing again, so i started work on makeing the map lay out in lego like peice's
the map turned out complete semetrical, with lego blocks ranging form 256 128 and so on. At least there is a lay out to work with and peices of hall to decorate then duplicate.

Hum no ns2 nstr, well I cant wait any more and it will be good practice, since hammer texturing anoys the crap out of me. I think I might have the hang of it now tho.

The layout was done in 4 hours, the hollowing the lego block the next day took 25 minutes, today after a giddy 3 months I started a cooling tower close to corys concept, now it looks like I need my own wad file.

The tower after makeing the scafolding and pipes too 7 ish hours rounding up to 8 hours once I hit send, thats after makeing the images and all sort, with only a few bingles today, it was rather fun and I refined some skillz in all. Hope to start on the junk yard soon.

    some textures are strech, other are look cartoonish, but the brush work look great and much polies. some textures doenst really fit and look like sliced.

    Sorry caricoa i was replieing the other day when the browser ate my post.

    the textureing will go skrewie once i move it into the map with the rest ofhte room any ways, unless i lock each surface, for now i just gave each surface a rough unquie to its own texture, so that when i make my own .WAD file, ill beable to select all objects with said texture and replace. from there it will be done in the final stages so that there wont be any more moveing of map peices to mess up the textures.

    as for the brush work yes some of it is nice and detailed, but i am already to a point where i am getting a viewing to much error so it looks like ill have to group every thing just so i can work as its already getting hard to find certain things i have put down.

    but its a work in progress and most certainly mocked up to get a image of it out there, hopefully ill make a start on the scrapie / junk yard.

    is a common problem when start made something and take a break and return we forgot where they are because our mind erased the location of the brushes and the ideas attach of.

    try keep note pad or a basci draw to guide.
    i like when end a part of the map, go to compile and take screenshots to keep a tip where i stop or what i cast some time with.

    hum yo udont under stand with teh error i am geting "to many visable objects". new objects/brushes simply can not be seen in the three 2d windows only once selected ether via the 3d presp or random rough selecting. once selected then apears in red but the momment its deselected it dis apears again. so i am haveing to group every thing.

    and start makeing prefabs.
