Im suprised nobody has posted this yet, but if you go into settings on steam you can opt into "The Steam Community".

It is a new system which allows you to join groups, form chatrooms and find new friends through the steam system. This means that the steam friends system has been totally revamped, hopefully it wont go down for months on end like the last one.


I've taken liberty into creating a Natural Selection group on this, if the devs want to take ownership of this go ahead, I've just made it for convenience seeing as no one else has yet.

    Okay so I'm in the beta, and I click 'join' to join the group with steam open, and nothing happens. How do I join the group?

    The group chat works fine for it though.

    If you go back into group chat I can also invite you from there. Some other dude was also having the same problem.

    You'll have to login to the site first, top right corner.

    Is there any way to join the group besides the link on the first page? My Steam and IE7/Firefox just don't seem to work together. The "join" button on the link just doesn't work, it simply brings me back to the same page.
