Not to be a huge weener and act all superior, but we have an entire forum devoted to suggesting these ideas one by one and discussing them in detail.

    If im allowed to pessimistic.

    Figure this:
    1 thread has a good idea, it gets many votes.
    People who want THEIR idea in the light in front of as many people as possible now hi-jack high voted thread and place their idea in it, instead in their own thread.
    High voted thread will now either be filled with OT ideas or angry posts of flame towards the hi-jacker.
    Thread becomes completely derailed or locked.

    I might have gone with worst case scenario but you get the idea.

    In contrary I vote YES.
