Problem browsing CS:S Servers - not a full server list.

<div class="IPBDescription">Can anyone help me with this issue please? Has to deal with a router, so if that's your expertise I'd appreciate some input! :)</div>I'll keep it short:

I recently purchased a new router because the old one was dropping packets/interrupting the signal/whatever. New router has the internet working perfectly. However, my server list for CS:S does not fill up "completely." I'm left with only a shadow of the servers I used to be able to browse in comparison to my old router. When I try and refresh or join some of the few servers that I can see, they typically ping out.

This is not a filter problem.

This is most likely a router problem (the router is the only changed variable here) related to a firewall that I'm a complete noob at dealing with.

My router is a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router 2.4 GHZ 082.11g (model# WRT54GS)

Help please? ^^

I am by no means a router expert but you may need to "forward" some of the "ports".

Which ones, I do not know.

Linksys and their firmware are the spawn of the devil. BEFSR series firmware upgrades have been known to cause the "bad packets" in Steam games, and I suspect something similar is going on here. Since getting the games list requires you initiating a connect with the Steam server, I highly doubt its a problem with port forwarding. I'd say Next time go with a Dlink.
