something to make support classes more popular

We'll you'd think its obvious - but then i've never really seen it in any game. NS has never really had this problem but a lot of other games suffer from nobody playing crucial support classes.
Well one way to fix this would be to make the support classes the most powerful class at the top of the tech tree. At the end of game it would be the support class that turns the tides and deals the final blow / gets the most kills, and the first tech high destruction/kill count classes that turn to support at the end.
So basically through out the game the killing class and support class change roles.
e.g. gorgy at the start of game, heals and builds, through out the game gorgy gets a few more support abilites, but then 3 hives are up, and the gorge gets a new ability to make it a badass mofo. Like lots of health and lerk spikes or something which will out do the other alien abilities.
Perhaps onos is the most powerful to start off which, but then at the end of the game the onos has a powerful heal ability. (these are bad examples sorry lol, but you get the idea, support goes to killer, killer goes to support.)
Now this would only work if and only if you were a support class through the game. otherwise people would just become the support class at the end.
Like the gorgy in the example above would only get its super killing destruction ability if the player did a certain combination fo building and healing through out the round <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
