The photoshop hack is right! A new version is upon us!

Changelog:
Version: "D3"<ul><li>LET THERE BE LIGHT! More lights and an overall brightness increase (-scale 1.5) makes seeing critters easier.</li><li>Fixed (I hope?) the atrium fps stutter experienced by some. (Smaller ambient mp3 to decode might have fixed it.)</li><li>Moved the alien side lightswitch to the area that is affected by the switch (so people don't weld it and say "what did that do?")</li><li>Reworked particle systems (inotherwords actually spent a bit of time figuring them out), made some custom sprites.</li><li>Reworked spawn positions for aliens. Closer to cover, better spread and lower to ground. Marine spawns are mostly just closer to the ground now.</li><li>Redid custom textures, created some new ones.</li><li>Peeled the skin off the wall in the little pit room to expose the fleshy rocks beneath it.</li><li>Made vent system a bit more efficient to use. (couple of45 degree corners instead of 90, more passing room, easier to find as well.)</li><li>Bit more cover in the hive, pulled the balcony window backwards so as to give less of a view out over the hive.</li><li>Stupid invisible stuck spots should be gone now. Mostly. (Fingers crossed...)</li><li>More detail all around. Optimizations. Continued my quest to de-blandify some areas.</li></ul>

    Edit : In ran the map quickly. First, it's awesome ! It has an unique feeling. The Atrium is juste pure awesomness <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> (I had a little fps drop tho, nothing serious.)
    The little humor on screens is hilarous <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> (Have A Nice Day !)
    With these screens, too bad they're not animated, if the're were animated, it would be awesome.

    I feel I should probably make a reply since I played the old version of this the other day and never replied to the original release thread.

    Congratulations for coming up with a really nice combat map. I like the fact it's quite small so perfect for home LANs or as an alternative map to switch to to fill out an empty server. There's also a lot of fun detail in the vent system, and the crossover effect is pretty unique (most combat maps forget that level-over-level is 'allowed' for co_).

    If I had to criticise at all I'd say the MS seemed a bit open and Fading in there was really easy (and I'm a mediocre Fade). Also the lower route from MS to Atrium seemed quite tight and made it really easy for Aliens to get in close, considering this is on the Marine side of the map I thought this was a bit unfair. I'd consider maybe widening the corner to let more Marines round it at once (atm I think it's only inviting enough for 1 or 2 to go through at a time with a clear shot at what's ahead).

    Overall a good candidate for the Official Mappack imo.

    Awesome map.
    I like the Pressure Filters area you made, and I love the water dripping effect in Sasquatch's Hideaway,

    I noticed some buttons on certain panels, do they do something? I couldnt figure it out..

    @Johnie: Nah, the only interactive spots are the two weldables and three breakable vents.

    @Crispy: Yeah, MS is kind of open. That was something I wanted to change, but any time I added something, I just ripped it out after because I couldn't figure on something that fit. But if it does end up being a problem, and the official mappack does become reality, I'd see about it. Will note that lower area though.

    @Skacky: I used to have those screens sort of pulse and flash, and I was literally playing an old version last night thinking "man I forgot to reimplement that when I redid those monitors!" Just animating them though might be a better idea anyway. And as far as those doors go... I sort of got used to'em myself. I'll try some other ones one day to see if I can find a good industrial/mechanical sort of door.
