<div class="IPBDescription">or any other concepts ....</div>You know what to do <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Here's my entry ,

Time: about 4hrs (yes i thought it would take 10 minutes too)
1hr brushes
2hrs texturing
1hr to get the light right which im still not happy with. i might make a brigther version and update.

The entire thing was a pain the butt, since hl2 textures have awful for a sci fi look, and cause of that it made me do some really strange things with the brushes which i'd not normally do.

Is the wacom pen migthier than the valve hammer? with me mapping - yes <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

oh btw i have to thank ChuckStarNL - i stole his railcar and put in the wrong spot on my map....

Neat. Now you can go back, redo the brushwork and the lighting, and wait for the NS2TR to get some nice textures to stick on that thing.

Its a nice start. Defiantly need to work on the details and the lighting...keep working on it and when NS2TR comes out you can just retexture and add some cool props.

Hah, good to see my work is put to good use. Maybe the railcar needs to be a bit wider. It looked thinner in the 1st concept for some reason, and wider in the 2nd concept.

    I wanted to see someone do something like this! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> Good job.

its looks to small, the artwork looks like the map is huge, but your map looks like tiny version.
Its okay, but (sorry) i hope the real map of ns2 will look like the artwork (i mean the quality)

i realy wish, the team of UW say us how we can make maps, so we can now made maps and release at release of NS2.

nah I went back and did some ns1 maps to polish my mapping skills <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> the textures just aren't right in vanilla hl2 so going to wait for the ns2tr

    co_operationb1
    <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?s=8650569307663891456&showtopic=102074" target="_blank">http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index....howtopic=102074</a>
    and

co_payload - tba , but the gameplay is focus on the marine and alien team trying to get a train with explosives into the hive or marine spawn for a win.

Pretty good, lighting needs a bit of work though.

    It's a camera shot from the hammer editor, how can you judge lighting? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I think you really need some good sprites and/or hdr lighting to make it look similar to the artwork especially considering the glow and smoke of the lava.
