<div class="IPBDescription">or how those resources get distributed</div> I am still not very sure on this, I keep hearing multiple versions, so it would be great if anyone can confirm or debunk these for sure.
Marines:
Number of resource nodes * number of marines per tick, goes into a central pool accessible only by the commander.
Aliens:
Number of resource nodes * number of aliens per tick, is evenly distributed between all aliens who are not full. If all aliens are at max, then goes into storage in hives so when a new alien joins or uses up some resources, it is instantly replenished from the hive storage. If an alien leaves the game, then its resources are redistributed among the remaining.
So how far off am I?

Right now, the nodes are 'technically' finite, but the amount of RP stored in them is so high, it'd take anywhere from 10 hours to DAYS to drain them. I think.
And as far as I know, in map building, the RP values for nodes are ignored at the moment. Flay has them all at a set value that's very high.

I think it was something like a gorge gets 3 times the ressources a normal alien gets.
So Gorge gets 3 parts and the rest 1 part.
Could be wrong but I think I read this in another thread about the ressource thing.
I'm thinking that what actually happens is if an alien is full of resources it is instantly redistributed to another alien who is not full of resources. That's why when the aliens are dominating the game you'll see your resources skyrocket, because the rest of your team members are already full of resources and it's going to you.
That being the case, it might seem as a gorge your getting resources faster than the offencive members of your team, but that's probably because they're full of resources and the excess is going to you.
Somebody posted up that using your hive will put your resources into the hive so they're available to the other members of your hive. I tried this, it didn't seem to work.

no, gorges get at least 2x the ammount of resourses as other members, which makes sense because they have to spend it on buildings.
