<div class="IPBDescription">but i'm so out of date.</div>I've had my PC for about 2 years and it's great, but of course; a two year old pc = super outdated.

Here's some of my current specs:

-Pentium 4 CPU 3ghz
-2.99ghz, 1GB Ram
-145GB HD
-Nvidia GeForce 6800 Series GPU
-And a pretty nice 5.1 surround sound with a woofie ^.^

Anyways, I haven't kept up with computer hardware for a long time so I don't know what's worth while to get.

I'm mainly looking for a faster running pc and something to run Stalker on super god like high settings! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

What would you forum goers recommend?

Only problem with my PC atm is that it's a Dell so upgrade limitations may apply unless if I break off and build up my own rig.

    Yeah you need to build your own rig. You'll want the fastest Core2Duo proc that your budget can do, 1 gig of RAM unless you want 2 gigs, and once you've got all that plus the mobo and the case, you take whatever money you have left and buy a graphics card for that much. An nVidia graphics card because AMD is actually making tortilla chipswith PCI-X interfaces glued on these days

    Someone who upgrades every 2 years does not need a quad core right now. Very few programs are going to use all four cores. By the time most of them do, he'll have upgraded again.

    McDonnell Douglas became part of Boeing and, if I'm not mistaken, Alias/Wavefront is what brought us Maya.
    A bit like how ATi is now AMD.
