Game Name: Notpron

Found this game online which ultimately challenges every part of your brain in every way. The game is pretty straight forward: There are 139 levels or so, and to go from one level to another you need to uncover a key word or in some cases a (user name/password). In order to do that you need to find clues, interpret hints properly and put everything together. Out of say 2,000,000 people who attempted, only about 150 people completely the whole thing fair n square.

I encourage you guys not to cheat as it defeats the purpose of playing (Be patient and Strong!). Besides, the creator changes keywords once in a while to catch cheaters (and log/ban IPs). So watch out!!!.

The link to the game is here: <a href="http://www.deathball.net/notpron/" target="_blank">http://www.deathball.net/notpron/</a>
This is just to get you guys started: for the first level, you click on the door (Dur!!!!) and for the second level, you replace the word "level2" with "level3" in the URL. The clue is the hand pointing up at the address bar. I hope now you get the idea what kinda of puzzles are in this game.

P.S. The official forums for hints are here: <a href="http://forums.gameservers.net/showthread.php?threadid=22002" target="_blank">http://forums.gameservers.net/showthread.php?threadid=22002</a>
Its OK to go there, but I prefer not to. I use it as the last resort when I completely get stuck.

I will constantly update my progress in the game by editing this post:

If there are no clickables on the screen (within the image usually) for the username/password window, then you have to modify the url somehow to get to the next level. Usually the keyword just requires you to replace the ending with the new keyword and then adding the ".htm" extension to it. So for example if for level X, the url is <a href="http://www.blahblah.com/levelx.htm" target="_blank">http://www.blahblah.com/levelx.htm</a>, then to proceed to the new level, you need to find the keyword (you usually know when you solved it) and replace "levelx.htm" with "newkeyword.htm". That should do it.

P.S. Trust me, at first I was like "meh" about this game, but as I learned, I slowly became good at it and now I can't stop playing it. Once you get in the 20's and 30's, you pretty much get hooked.

Stuck on level 7 because I don't know the name of some obscure (German?) chocolate bar.

I've never heard of someone completing thisisnotporn alone. I know a few internet gaming communities dedicated to this type of game who have cracked the whole thing, but I've never known someone to beat it independently.

Pulse, tbh, the wrapper is not an obscure candy

I'm doing it independently. It's not as hard as you think, its just that people are different and everyone has a different strategy to tackle a problem. So I wont lie, I do go on the forums to get hints if I'm completely stuck, and see if can solve the problem from a different angle. I only do it if I'm completely stuck and I usually give myself an hour before looking anything up.

Also, just to help you guys out: Usually when the login screen appears, there is usually another clue within, so be careful and try not to miss it.

notpron gets really tricky. I got to like 40-something long ago then bookmarked, went to bed and forgot the password needed to access the page. later on, a lot of the puzzles can only be solved by looking at the page source, and if not, the source usually includes some hints.
