Make Size Matter

<div class="IPBDescription">For explosions</div>Explosions should deal damage based on how much of the explosion contacted the enemy- if a frag grenade goes off four feet from someone curled in the foetal position, it will do FAR less damage than someone four feet away standing straight up and staring at it. At the moment, skulks are fodder to grenades. They should be small enough to "avoid" most of the damage.

Conversely, grenades should hurt onii and fades a LOT as they have a large area to splatter. This also makes the GL a good anti-large alien weapon that takes skill to aim carefully.

If a skulk takes a grenade to the face, however, it should splatter <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

Good idea...Explosion size should also vary according to what the weapon is, and perhaps there could be research done to improve explosion radii. There should, however, be a damage cap. We don't want an onos to go down in two grenades.

Grenades already do less damage to lifeforms farther away from them, and already have a 'damage cap' so to speak as the max damage is dealt at the center of the blast. I do support the idea of bigger lifeforms taking more damage because they receive a greater blast, and it shouldn't be too hard to implement.

I don't know how effective the damage cap is - as a skulk, you can easily die to a grenade that's as much as 10 feet away, even with full health! It seems that GL's are the anti-skulk at the moment <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

Perhaps decrease GL damage and giving them another double against structures? So 4x against buildings, 2/3 current against players?
