<div class="IPBDescription">HOW?</div>How to put several different versions on 1 Steam account?
5 months ago there was no problem - on Main manu we even could see 1) all Versions of NS installed 2)which version we are launching - different names at same Icons, and in Servers menu we could choose (filter) the version of servers. Many friends still playing Older versions, there has to be possibility how to put them together. Its not logical - to make several Steam direcories for each version of NS.
Now i tries many times put 3.1.3, 3.2 - impossible. They need only 1 working directory. Even manualy if You can launch (not shure which version) - anyway You can't connect to any server.

NS is the foldername for the released versions.
NSP is the foldername used for testing purpose (consti test use this foldername)
The problem is that you do not also need matching files, but in order to play through steam the folder names have to match aswell.
Just try renaming a mod folder from "mysupermod" to "mysupermod2" and you wont be able to connect to servers running this mod from the "mysupermod" folder.
So if you really want several NS versions have installed, just install the version version of your choise. Rename its NS folder to NS_1.04 for example. Install the next version rename it again. Repeat until you have as much versions installed as you need. Now all you need to do is rename the folders back to "ns" if you want to play that particular version. (steam restart required)
It could also be possible that some servers are running a folder protected server, by renaming the ns folder instead of running a passworded server <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />
Trixy little scripts (.bat files) could automate it for you but you have to restart steam anyway...
