Windows Hotkeys

I recently changed from using my speakers when playing games and music, to these brand new sennheiser headphones due to the request of an annoyingly ever-present female.

Problem is, my keyboard is not fancy, with all sorts of volume controls and cup-holders, and the headphones have no such thing built in.

My question hence, to you, my fellow forumites, is how canst one bind a hotkey in windows to increase/decrease/mute the volume?

All the cool people speaketh in ye owld victorian english.

Uh, yeah, you can. My friend's got it bound to a couple F keys plus control or something. I dunno how that works though. I'll ask him if I see him.

I'm on windows XP, with an inbuilt realtek soundcard. I don't think it supports bindings.

I was hoping for some non intrusive way like a simple reg-edit or whatever, but I suppose this will have to do. I blame you for any adware you may have caused. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad-fix.gif" />

    edit:
Hey that rex controller is actually pretty minimal. Thanks!
