<div class="IPBDescription">great now I have no sprites...</div>Can somebody with experience please update this? The file was found on the NSArmsLab.

<img src="http://xzianthia.net/images/aliencrosshairs.jpg" border="0" alt="IPB Image" />

The current file... etither the text files are off for 3.2 or the sprites are imcompatible. I had these installed in the previous version and they were working. After I installed 3.2 and installed them again I suddenly have <b>NO</b> alien xhairs at all! Not good, please help.
<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

Plus it would be nice if we could have a pack of the older marine xhairs from the older NS versions.

thank you,

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tsa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::tsa::" border="0" alt="tsa.gif" /> <b><!--coloro:#CC0000--><span style="color:#CC0000"><!--/coloro-->x5<!--colorc--></span><!--/colorc--></b>

(PS: Why did they make them ugly? The other sprite changes are nice but the crosshairs for both marines and aliens I hate)

    I have no idea personally. Have you checked that server consistency is not turned on? (not sure what the command is)

    Also, I don't know why the sprites were changed. There seems to be an undercover ploy to slowly replace every non-mapping asset I ever made for NS ^_^ (med pack, ammo, view sprites....next will be selection sprites and the stomp model!)

    Well can you give me a pack of your stuff that'll work in 3.2? And no it isn't mp_consistency if it's <i>my</i> server too! heh <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

    They changed something in the txt of the sprite files, so they just don't appear at all. I "fixed" it by just overwriting my shaz crosshairs with 3.2 defaults. i managed to Shaz's marine upgrades with the newer additions of 3.2 rine stuff but the alien upgrades and crosshairs may be a bit trickier for me to do myself.

    Well can somebody please help? I don't know what the syntax in the text files mean. Plus if the sprite files need to be changed, what exactly needs to be done?

    from what it looks like, since the update contains 5 sets of crosshairs, we need to find what crosshair sprites to chang, and what modifications we need to do the txts

    Yes I've been having trouble as well. I tried to use a custom shotgun xhair, and it didn't work at all. What a bummer.

    Why is feedback on this thread taking so long? It's obvious now everyone is having the same problems.

    BEER has already redone them so they work with 3.2 under cl_customcrosshair 0:

    Because there has already been a thread posted on this, as has recently been bumped, so the solution was out there. All you had to do was look for it, and then go through the effort of applying it. I wanted to see how long it would take you. It's not like the rest of us are smarter than you are.

    Unfortuantely, those turned out to be like twice as BIG as the old ones...anyone have any idea of how to fix that?

    Shame on you, Spawn. You know better than to dig up long dead threads.

    In answer to your question, you'd have to look up the formatting in the sprite definitions. I imagine that some of the numbers on each line represent how much screen real estate they're supposed do take up.

    Barring that, you could always resize each individual crosshair in a photo editor, centering it in the middle of the old crosshair.
