Assuming Warhammer Online hits us with a vengeance....
Can I just suggest that this time, the Natural Selection community makes an effort to all play together on the same Realm/Server/Whatever they call it this time? We tried for WoW, it worked partially in the US, and failed miserably in the EU. It'd be nice to get everyone together again.
That said, having been on the inside of GW before and knowing how things run there, I don't dare hold my breath that it'll be a good game. They have some of the most fantastic lore ever built up for a game, then because everything these days is viewed as a 'Marketing Opportunity' they often miss the boat.
well keep in mind shocksy, while warhammer is under license of GW, it's EA Mythic who are working on it. Also keep in mind one of the guys GW sent over to be in charge is a complete and utter lunatic and is more likely to make sure there's some use of custard in the game than aiming for marketting opportunities.
All in all I think it looks very promising. Don't make me remind you that they brought in 40 games journalists and critics and made them play it for a day with the result being not one single complaint. 40 people; 0 complaints. That's unbelievable! I even read over their articles and one or two of the 'less commercial' sites commented on not only how much they enjoyed it but how amazed they also were that nobody really griped about anything and everyone seemed to have a great time.
If Warhammer fails I'll not only be surprised but miserably disappointed :/
If WAR fails I will brutally slaughter everybody who has posted in this thread.
And I'll probably be a little sad, too <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad-fix.gif" />

Hmm my current main I've played for 11months and is only 43. I must be doing something wrong <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />
<i>1. How long have you been playing WoW, and do you have BC?</i> Played since EU release, Febuary 2 years ago i think. Before that i played in the EU and US betas. And yeah, i've got TBC now too.
<i>2. How often a week do you play WoW?</i> Every day, pretty much, if not every other day. Irregulaly though, maybe an hour in the morning and a couple of hours at night. I might check my auctions on my lunch break from work but i've only done that once.
<i>3. Are you in a big guild, and what does your guild require of you?</i> In the largest guild on the server and second most progressed at the moment (Working on Kara / Gruul atm), guild requires nothing of me at all.
<i>4. What do you do with your time in WoW?</i> Faff. Attempt to level, play the auction house, troll, gank. Infact, trolling other players and ganking the other faction take a good chunk of my playtime and are pretty much directly responsible for me not having a 70 yet.
<i>5. What level are your characters and how important is it that they be levelled up fully and have the very best gear?</i> My rogue's 68, my paladin's 60. It's pretty important to me that i hit 70 sometime soon and get geared up. I enjoy raiding and look forward to giving the new 70 raids a shot. I dunno about the very best gear, but i'm aiming for tier 4-5 at the moment based on making all the ladies check my s**t yo.
<i>6. Any further comments?</i> Not really. But i've stopped playing WoW every waking hour like i used to, it's got a lot more fun now actually, due to my g/f and job occupying so much of my time i appreciate the game more. Me and my other half are currently working on levelling a hunter / shaman draenei combo at the moment which is pretty fun as we get to do it face to face.
<i>1. How long have you been playing WoW, and do you have BC?</i> I started the day of original release but barely played and quit after about two weeks. Then I got a 30-year "guest" account and played on and off for a couple of months. Then I bought BC with my fiance (We have two of WoW original and BC, I call them our His and Hers WoW) and we've been playing pretty regularly since.
<i>2. How often a week do you play WoW?</i> I think it's about 3-4 days a week, for about an hour each.
<i>3. Are you in a big guild, and what does your guild require of you?</i> Nope. Though I'd like to join one just for the social aspect.
<i>4. What do you do with your time in WoW?</i> Run around stabbing things. Questing. I really don't like grinding just to level... I like exploring and looking at new stuff.
<i>5. What level are your characters and how important is it that they be levelled up fully and have the very best gear?</i> I have a 31. Not important at all; I just like exploring and goofing off with my fiance, it's not about being the best or hardcore leveling or anything. Levelling is just a means to get more cool skills to use and be able to explore more of the environment.
<i>6. Any further comments?</i> I find WoW incredibly boring to play by myself. It's a lot more fun when I have someone (ie my fiance) to have inane conversations with while playing ("Did that tree thing just drop money? Why does a tree have money?" "Well, it was wearing a necklace. I guess... to buy a necklace, it must have money." "So you're trying to tell me that trees have money so they can buy necklaces." "Something like that." Actual conversation.)

Here's to hoping.

Yeah I guess you are pathetic. holy skulk.
it's a lot, but it's nothing compared to the true power gamers in my guild. 200 days on one char in many cases =x
