Who purchased from the old store? It had alot more then what the current one has. I myself have an eye poster, but other then that nada. It is a pity, because there could be some really nice tshirts that I wouldn't mind wearing. Perhaps there should be a contest for some new stuff that could be made at cafepress? I think that is where the old store was for awhile.

The ideas that seem to work best would be the plushes.

Gorge and Onos would be the most popular in imo.

The next best idea...mousepad. HELL YES.

After seeing the plush hunter on the valve site I came here just to say after all these years I still want my plush lerk. And the keychain idea sounds cool too.

Yeah, I would buy a little gorgie + t-shirt. Sounds like a fun idea. DO IT!

I don't know much about running such a type of store, but I don't think it would work out too easily. All those common types of items must appeal to only a limited group. World -> NS Fans -> Online shoppers -> fans of idle decorations. That seems like a narrow range to sell to to me. A hat or lighter might sell better than posters and such since they serve a purpose, but mouse pads and posters will only go to people with spare money (or to loose-spenders).

Without a doubt, I'd buy an audio CD if they released that kind of thing. Perhaps if they released a keyboard cover to go with the game's controls, that would be nice to get. On that strategy guide idea, perhaps a more general guide ranging from good gameplay tactics to designing an ideal map for the game. The board game sounds like a good idea, but I doubt a game put together for profit would be on my list; a board game worth buying would take a significant amount of thought and development.

I can imagine something could be done with all the available services for cellphones to make a profit. They seem to be an easy source of money, but probably not so easy to get through whatever licensing and such may be needed.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tsa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="::tsa::" border="0" alt="tsa.gif" /> A CD is really the only thing I can think of as appealing to the broadest audience and bringing in good money.
