tl;dr Anna Nicole Smith, world renowned bimbo died. Meh.

On another note, Clint Eastwood was just on the news (I don't remember which one) talking about how back in his day you actually had to do something to be considered a star. I knew I loved that guy.

I think it's quite a bit less surprising than anyone else dying, seeing as her 20 year old son also magically passed away.

Yes. We heckled her in life, she was a waste of space dropkick druggie. I don't see how the mere act of dying via drug overdose somehow elevates her position enough to warrant newfound respect.

    I agree with this.

I would have cut her a break if she died in some kind of terrible way, but from all signs that did not happen.

Pfft, why? I didn't know her. I'm not making fun of her in front of people who are upset about losing her or members of her family, so who cares?

I'm not really going to feel bad for someone who got very rich for doing essentially nothing.

So by that token we should all mourn the passing of Hitler?

No, I'm not saying Anna Nicole Smith was or was not like Hitler, I'm saying unwarranted contemplations of respect and mourning shouldn't be issued to every person that dies. Sometimes it's just not that big a deal if someone dies - especially if you have absolutely no relationship to that person, or if that person has done nothing universally useful. Oh, wait, I forgot how Skyscraper was one of the greatest epics of our time, and how we should mourn such a talented actress. Her sponsorship of such a prestigious company should also be contemplated.

...thousands of Jedi across the galaxy collectively collapse at this great loss to humanity.

Now, let us return to simply berating living people.

    Godwin's Law strikes again.

I'm not pleased she died, any more than I'm pleased at the thousands of people who die every day unncessarily.
If anything, it's one less member of the species who was completely (from public knowledge, anyway) hedonistic. I can't say I'm exactly bothered she's gone either.
