I've seen the minimaps use different filenames, is that all there is?

I would also like to know (if it's not to much trouble <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> ) How are these transparant map files created, what sprite type is used? I could probably find this out for myself (with trial and error or something). But since I'm here I can ask, can't I <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

Natural Selection will build them for you if you write "buildminimap" in the console or something similar. Can't remember the exact command. You will a couple of sprite files generated and after that they should work automatically. If you want to modify them later and add text and stuff to your map, then you have to convert the sprites into another format, edit/retouch them and convert them back into the spr format.

Edit: Oh btw you need to have sv_cheats set to 1 before it will work.

Yeah I know about the "buildminimap" command as I also have a map with <a href="http://members.home.nl/m.borgman/ns-forum/ns_achio2/officialscreenshots/minimap_v2b4.jpg" target="_blank">custom minimaps</a> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> But the command only creates the standart minimap, not a transparant map. And sprite explorer also doesn't tell me what setting I need for a transparant one. I'm still curious what else has changed since 3.1 as well...

From what I can gather its only the minimaps which have more options, but I'm not certain. I just want to release another update, which is 100% compatible with 3.2
