DI creation structure

Remember the zerg? Remember that they had colonies that could increase the creep?
Same concept. The structure would be half the size of a regular chamber, and destroying it could cause the creep to deteriorate. It would have 120 health, but fragile. Gorges could create it at the expense of 15-25 res.
When placed, it would have a small radius to generate DI at a moderate rate.
Not upgradable, just a small structure to extend the infestations range.

Like if i wanted to infest an area, why would i drop a infestation structure when I could just drop a DC or OC which will have their obvious functions aswell as spreading creep/DI <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />
unless it does something else of course:)
also i hope they make chambers look, less chambery, more like the infestation itself so it all fits together.
And as schkorpio said, what benefit would it have to just spread the infestation?
i'd rather that just the creep or DI comes out of chambers hives and alien res towers, slowly grows and then closes the gap. I don't really think you need an extra structure that provides no other benefits.

100% correct, theres no need for a DI chamber, when the other chambers will spread it anyways, and provide addional benefits like cloak, regen, adren etc

just some suggestions or minor things:
* slight regeneration when in contact, 1 hp per minute
* slight speed decrease for marines, (the creep grabs on to the feet) 5%, 10% maybe
* slightly faster adrenalin regen for aliens in contact
* mild spore effect when shot, low damage, make marines have to control there fire
* adjust the alien models so they blend in better in the creep.
I'm sure there are plenty of small effects, one could be a good fit for the game.
however this thread is referring to wether there should there be a chamber that does nothing else but spread DI, which is pretty useless.
in the game devolopment blog, flayra said it was just too much fun to spray DI with the gorge, and that they would probably include some sort of ability for the gorge to do so. with this in mind, and the fact that other chambers will probably help spread the DI anyways, a "DI chamber"is pretty useless.
i however, don't think the chamber is needed, i would prefer the gorge to have a spray to spread it faster then its natural growth, maybe just a side effect of there spit, i think that would be cool.
