Crash after attempting connection i try everthing to fix it nothing works. Help!!

Hi, i buyed this game yesterday on steam and it didint work... after i google it for some solution i did fix it for 2 or 3 h of gameplay but then it happend again.
i did the sam fix again and nothing.

i am very i disappointed with this game, i have a nice pc but i cant fix this game to work.

pls help me

i did this a couple of times: it help 1 time i was playing i few hours, and then again the same problem. i did it again but nothing it freeze ever time on the attempting connection sreen. i try to load traning but same thing it freeze imidiatly.

Run dxsetup in drive\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\redist\directx\
Delete the folder drive\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\ns2\shaders
Press the Windows key and R (Win+R) (No Windows key? Try this) and type %APPDATA%\Natural Selection 2 then press enter.
Delete all the files in this folder
Verify the Integrity of the NS2 Game Cache:
In Steam, go to the Natural Selection 2 menu option, Right-click>Properties>Local Files>Verify Integrity of Cache
(this will re-download the files you deleted, but it will be the correct files this time)
Disable all mods or even unsubscribe from them in Workshop

If all else fails, delete local Steam files for NS2 and reinstall NS2.
Crash on startup? Disable any overlay applications that might interfere such as mumble, fraps and GPU tweakers Source
Lower texture quality in NS2, this *may* allow you to get through pre-cache





i dont understand why yesterday it helped to delete all me natural selection 2 files... but today it dont want to work.. i have a fast internet connection and re-install the game 20 times or more.
i take all this like a joke i payed for this 23 euro on steam and spent more time on google to search for a solution to run this game.

pls somebody help me.

Ok first of all i'm sorry to hear that you can't really play the game.

For now i have a few question:
Did you try to join any other server beside Wooza's (lately we got quiet a few reports of ppl having problems to connect to it)?
Why do you play on such a low resolution? Your pc should be able to handle ns2 at 1080p. Also disable bloom for now!
Did you already tried this: http://forums.unknownworlds.com/discussion/131428/obbys-full-nuke-ns2-guide-only-way-to-be-sure? (I know you did some of these steps but sometimes reinstalling ns2 "full nuke" works wonders)

Otherwise open the console (^ -Key above tab) and type in net_log 3 and verbose 3 and connect to a server via quick play. Post the new log afterwards here.

yes i try all diffrent severs... game is freezing on training and all servers
low resolution is only becuse i am testing for now... or tried to make the game work
yes i tried to nuke all ns2 files about 20 times...

same thing freeze on attempting connection (i was tried to conncet like you say via quick play but he was serching forever... so i join a random server from the server browers.. this is the new log.

What router do you use? What kind of anti-virus software do you use? As it seems there is kind of a firewall/network issue as you never get any answer form the given server.

i us a kaspersky internet security 2015 (i tried to turn the antivirus off and to join a server but same problem freeze on attempting connection.)

It's not kaspersky (tip for a bit more loading speed, set ns2.exe into the trustworthy group)

So i guess it's your router.

At least we had a lot of issues with other speedport routers (falsely detecting udp flooding). Did you try to port-forward udp 27000-27100 (should cover mostly all ns2 servers)?
Also have a look at the log of the router.

If port forwarding doesn't help i guess you will have to call your isp and talk to them about getting a fritzbox or some router not behaving "stupid" in this kind of matter. (BTW also other games are affected like hl2, cs and bf)

To confirm that it is indeed a network issue try to start the tutorial. If that works it is a network issue!
