IM NOT DEAD! I've just been... under the radar. I got natural selection 2 and i've had fun playing that, however i've recently started writing a book that is inspired by subnautica... no, i'm releasing info on it just yet. not until i have more than 10,000 words.

@scubamatt people like you are just as valued as a programmer.

by the way, for future reference:
SCANABLE OBJECTS CAN EXPERIENCE THIS BUG TO, PARTICULARLY COMMON ARE PRAWN SUIT FRAGMENTS INSIDE WRECKS (namely on the grassy plateau and grand reef) -
*snickers* okay, that made my night. not sure how to fix, but publish that. that is amusing.

all fauna can de-aggro if either far enough away or in a position where it cant deal damage, therefore hiding in the lifepod/base will de-aggro it... after a long time, so i hope you have enough rations
-
maybe, something in your rendering is causing that issue, my low end laptop can sometimes crash via loading or popins, too much processing at once causing the bug.
-
fixable: just open panel and use warpme to get back inside. exit base and reload game. if problem persists, delete base segment and rebuild. if problem still persists, idk. mghmoys (may god have mercy on your soul)

you complain for an in development game. dont expect people to take kind to you. its not like several other games similar, that died in production. -
call me the cynic... but this has been here in the spare art folder for almost a year now. so, no; this isnt going to happen. also funfact: it was modeled off a spore creation!
*looks at op date* wait a minute. let me shoot myself for… -
the game crashes... and? reboot and try again. (which for me is redundant cause it only crashes as i finish and quit the game)
-
maybe... just maybe, the game is still under development and has developmental costs. just maybe you know, employees need money to make a game. *sips coffee* and sleep, but we know we arent getting one of those things and my bet is sleep.

something pissing me off about subnautica...
GOD DAMN THE AIRLOCK DOOR FAILING TO OPEN AFTER RELOAD... bulkheads please, how many times do the devs have to fix you? -
(Quote) maybe he is a magikarp. but seriously, it is in place, because a majority of the game takes place underwater and therefore its needed. technically also, you swim faster at the surface because of the range of movement you can preform, bu…

To be fair, I still don't know why wrecks don't appear on sonar. I understand scrap, but not wrecks
-
That's how sonar works.
Emission.....contact/reverb......tune.....scan.....interpret...............display and track. -
Technically the equip slot on the right is the paper-doll.

(Quote) They removed that one tho.

I assume its a specialized filtered air flow inside the base for optimum human breathing, so maybe an open flame may be hazardous, only if the fire reaches something.
-
what about spine eel? its in the entity library and has programming, just not implemented in yet to spawn.
-
technically we could still die of hypothermia in 32 degrees Celsius water
people have died of it in the Caribbean -
that may be good, but it would ping constantly and drain the battery quickly
